FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Impending Arrival of the Princess Taiping Chinese Junk to Honolulu, Hawaii

The replica Ming-Dynasty Chinese Junk Princess Taiping,
will be arriving approximately 12/20-23/08 at the Honolulu, Ala Wai Yacht Harbor, to be docked at the fuel dock. The Taiping received wide public attention on exhibition at the San Francisco National Maritime Museum and the San Diego Maritime Museum. Skipper Liu Ning-sheng (Nelson Liu) and his crew have been meeting with educational and heritage organizations, conducting public presentations, and welcoming visitors on board their unique craft. The junk is on her return voyage to Taiwan following her initial passage across the Pacific to the west coast/USA. The project is supported by the Chinese Maritime Development Society in Taiwan. The voyage web site can be found at: chinesevoyage.com
